Project Engineer

Job Description

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering Degree.
  • At least 15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., ERP tools) and strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preference will be given to those who have:

  • Local Visa transferable
  • Qatar Experience Minimum 3 years
  • Valid Qatar Driving License

Job Description:

  • Develop and review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for oil and gas projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of project plans, including scope, schedule, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical evaluations to determine project requirements and constraints.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to engineering teams and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the delivery of materials and equipment that meet project specifications.
  • Review and approve technical documents, including engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications.
  • Oversee and manage engineering activities during project execution, ensuring adherence to plans and schedules.
  • Monitor project progress, including tracking milestones, deliverables, and key performance indicators.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor construction and installation activities, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.
  • Support the Project Manager in managing project risks, changes, and deviations from the plan.
  • Ensure that all engineering activities comply with industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and reviews to ensure that project work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to engineering activities, including reports, manuals, and records.
  • Work with HSE teams to implement safety measures and emergency response plans during project execution.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide regular project updates and technical support.
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure effective communication between engineering teams and other project stakeholders.
  • Being proficient in dedicated software for MEP construction and MS Office tools as well as in ERP tools.
  • Primarily office-based with regular visits to project sites, which may include remote locations.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as required to meet project deadlines.
  • Must be willing to travel extensively and work in challenging environments.
